I’m going to assume that if you’re reading this guide, you already have a basic knowledge of what email marketing is, you’re just looking for what to do or say and how to make people take action on your email list.

But for those that are completely new, I’m going to cover what it is and why it’s useful. So, if you’re new to this whole thing, what is email marketing?

It’s become an essential tool in any marketing mix. It’s a form of direct marketing that is used by a business to increase their profits.

There’s probably a text book definition that makes it sound less salesy, but that’s the main purpose and i’ll assume that’s why you’re here. Businesses use it to send out broadcasts, newsletters and promotional emails.

What I’m here to encourage you to do, is to use email marketing as your automated salesperson.

The main reason I suggest you focus on building an engaged email list is because it’s a business asset that remains constant.

You can take your email list with you anywhere, mail to it when you like and pretty much be in control of your income as long as you’ve provided value over time.
