Give them the opportunity to get a discount as long as their purchase reaches a certain amount.
The problem with offering discounts too quickly in cart abandonment is that some people are savvy enough to know that if they wait long enough, they’ll get a discount.
At the end of the day 60% of a reduced item is better than 100% of no sale at all, so it’s up to you how you play this one out and if it’s right for your business.
You can also set these discounts to expire after a certain time.
